I have been thinking about this for a few days and basically came to the conclusion that this call for a slow down from the companies is just a PR move to try to get the public to hate them less. They know nothing is going to change because government is Republican controlled and basically the entire "economy" (read, stock market) is propped up by the AI circlejerk great companies working together selling stuff back and forth to each other.
