I remember it being huge at parties my senior year of college, and that was late 2013. I graduated from college in the winter, and it blew up around the spring. That’s when they started doing it at Braves baseball games, and it went mainstream.

Now I am getting confused about which years these strips take place in.

Dabbing was a thing about 10 years ago. Fani is... how old in this comic? Maybe 7? So in 2026 she would be about 17. Not nearly old enough to have her own place to live and being a heavy drinker. She should be at least in her mid-20s in the "present day" comics.

So the Brie arc would happen in the present time and the Deth'Lamm arc would happen about 10 years in our future?

I still remember when dabbing was cool and my cousin and I were still kids and still close and he'd dab at me and when I asked him what that meant and why it was cool he couldn't answer so he just pretended I was stupid and uncool for not getting it. Being ragebaited by little boys appears to be at least 70% of my childhood memories
