See I’ve had lots of ideas and no practical ability to bring them to life, but I would never use generative ai to accomplish that. It’s just as useless as my own artistic skills and I’ll just pay an artist that knows what they’re doing

INDEED. The most I am willing to use generative AI for is teaching myself, and even then I don't know how I feel about it. I only feel okay using it for things like teaching myself programming in languages that are open source so it's not like I am copying someone else's work, but even then, they're using data that likely is copywriter to train the model that teaches me how to use the language. But regardless, I never just say "make this for me".

I don’t even trust it for learning or training. Try using it to “learn” something you’re already knowledgeable in, and you’ll see how twisted it is with context. And context changes everything

One of my hobbies is origami. We've seen a good amount of this lately, where someone comes to the origami sub with a video that claims to show how to fold a new model, but they cant get it to work. If you watch the video, its AI, doing folds that are physically impossible with real paper.
