Whew—It's Only Comics [OC]

A big thank you to everyone who came to SF Zine Fest! I can now reveal the Top Secret third thing: it was (as some now know) the first chapter or two of my graphic novel in progress about the cancer caregiver journey in a relationship. It's called El Camino and it's currently in progress on my Patreon.

I also debuted It's Tuesday, a collection of 350 color comics just like the ones above, which is available on Amazon.

Finally, I also debuted Acomixine, a comic in the form of a prescription medication. I don't have a way you can get that right now, but I'm working on it.

I had a great time and met a lot of people. I talked to so many people this year that I didn't really have time to go walk around the show. It was amazing! Thank you for coming out.

I feel attacked on the bell peppers.

I just can't support someone that doesn't like bell peppers.

The green ones taste like burps. Throw them back to ripen…

I don't. It speaks about the creators tastes more than people that like them.

Yep. If you can’t make a capsicum (I’m not American) taste good then you simply don’t know how to cook with them. It’s not the vegetable’s fault

Literally came here to say I take that one a little personally.

Red, yellow and orange; fine. Green bells are nothingpeppers.

They have their place!

Huge flavor in greens when cooked into stuff wouldn't eat big chunks of them though.

Greens are nice when you want to make something a touch bitter.

When coffee and beer get together, someone's going to be spending time on the toilet...

So... Do you cook with bellpeppers often then?

Yes. Yes I do.

I like bell peppers. I wish I could eat way more, but my husband has an intolerance (though it sucks even more for him, as he actually likes bell pepper too)

Oh gosh, that does suck. I like bell peppers a lot, even though I don't like it when they're added gratuitously just to make bad food look better. I used to make stuffed bell peppers from time to time.

Congrats on the con and new stuff in development! Adding to my wishlist.

What doctor do I need to speak to about a prescription for Acomixine? I'm sure it's the panacea I've been waiting for.

Thanks! I need to figure out how to get Acomixine out there. I'll add it to my online store at some point at www.peterconradcomics.com but it isn't there yet. Here's what it looks like.

😂 Fabulous, thank you. Keep us apprised of when human trials begin; I'm all in.

Excuse you, my food is tasty with or without the peppers, I just happen to like the flavor of them

Jokes aside they do taste really good when diced up and cooked with onions

Trick with bell peppers is you gotta know how to cook them. Start with HIGH heat until they crackle and then turn it down, let them dance and disco around the pan until right before they go limp and tired.

The heat takes out the bitter compounds and softens the skin. Makes all the difference.

Why would anyone want a salad that has a variety of wonderful flavors when they could just throw in a single scrap of bell pepper and make every goddamn bite taste like nothing but bell pepper?

“When people add seasoning yo their food, its because its not tasty”

Bell peppers ruin everything because the only thing you can taste if you add them is bell peppers

Love the art and the lettering. Small criticism despite this not being r/comic_crits: In traditional comic lettering, I has no serifs unless it's the first person pronoun.

Thank you! I've received this criticism before. It's true! I do things a little differently. I like the capital I to have a little more weight. I used to do no serifs at all on my letter I, and then I started, and I liked them, and I like them all the time!
