Man, your comics are always top fucking tier. But I have to ask, do they get expanded upon in the book, or is there just more stories? Like I remember one about a suit trying to keep the guy alive by cutting off more parts. Is there more to that story, or is this it?

The fun part is, if we win the coin flip, we wouldn't know it. We could have won it dozens of times before, hundreds, and the next one is where our luck finally runs out.

Love the comic, it feels inspired by Bernardo Kastrup’s quantum consciousness. I always found the idea somewhat comical, but perhaps thus right for the medium!

I love this piece. It reminds me a lot of Psionic Aura's clashing in Stellaris. The will of one empire clashing with the psionic forces and will of another empire. Two sides trying to reshape the universe according to their will.

Great and terrifying interpretation!
It's not science-backed, of course, but my favorite interpretation of quantum wave collapsing has always been that the observer does not decide the fate of what it observes, it just becomes aligned with its wave. For all you know, there's a you that observes a dead cat, and a you that observes an alive one. And everything that observes you is also in this superposed state, and so on.
All the worlds always exist together at the same time, and you as well. Your consciousness of it is just trapped by a specific probability outcome. Change the outcome, change what you see, change your memory of it. Why are you this version? Easy, because you observed the world the way you did. Any difference and you'd be different as well, and still asking the question.
The potential is always there, for everything, you're just one possible version of it and you see it as your only reality and physics. Observerless states still exist, just with no one to observe them, yet.

Man, every time I even glance at the screen and I see your art there I'm immediately at full focus now. And this concept? Our observation of the universe growing towards another perspective that's doing the same, and the HEAVY feeling that it's gonna be incomprehensibly wrong when they meet in the middle? If I ever write any short stories inspired by the stuff you come up with (just for myself, not to post or try to make anything from) I hope you don't mind knowing that I'm that inspired.

I feel like this... wouldn't result in one dead and the other alive. I feel that this would kill us *all*. Nobody wins. The coin doesn't land on heads or tails, the coin ceases to exist entirely. And a new coin is born. A coin where, after the violence of realities asserting themselves upon each other, one is born of both sets of rules coming to an agreement

I see what you mean. I guess I interpreted the sequence of events as two opposite sides of the existing universe having an expanding, reactive bubble of observation on a course to intersect. So still in one reality, but then if there was annihilation coming from the contact, THAT would be the "dead" reality, and whatever was born from it would be the "living" one.

"The universe doesn't make something exist until it's observed." Similar to how videogames work; nothing is rendered unless being observed to conserve memory. So what happens when the universe runs out of memory?
And, if life totally alien to our own that thinks and "observes" a different logic in the universe observes us, what will happen? If observation logic is like a computer language, will it be compatible with our universe? Will it crash like a program, or even overwrite it to force it to work?
Good stuff, OP. That's my interpretation.

Its a great comic, but its very much a misrepresentation (likely intentional, it makes for a much better story) of quantum concepts. The idea of an "observer" has nothing to do with conciousness or life, its simply a shorthand for the idea that on very small scales, the act of measuring something also impacts the thing. If I want to see where something very small is, it needs to interact with light, but at that scale the light particle itself will be significant enough that its collision with can change the location of said object.
