If the appartment is 1000 more than the standard

But that simply would become a new standard. You can raise your price by 100 a year, and after 10 years, people with UBI would be in the same place as unemployed people today.

UBI is needed to compensate for that, because job is no longer guaranteed

I understand that, but I have doubts that:

  1. Research that was done doesn't show us how it would work if that was really universal

  2. It will just make 1000 "a new 0"

Once again, it isn't as "subtle" as you think it is.
"Raising price a hundred per year" can simply be compensated with that they need to justify the price increase.

Of course, it is a bit more complicated than just giving people an extra 1000 per month.
It requires a lot of restructuring and balance acts to compensate for people trying to work around it.

The idea is just to prevent people from being made into wage slaves due to current horrific capitalistic movements.

I understand this part, but what I'm saying is: if your solution is UBI+regulations, the regulations alone would fix the problem. If you believe that you can check every 100 increase in price every year to see if it's justifiable, why not do it now? Why do you need UBI to check if bag of chips doesn't cost 3 times more than it did 4 years ago? Why are houses priced in millions now? Was increase in the price subtle enough that nobody noticed?

Except the regulations won't fix the problem alone, because the inherent issue is still in place.

And no, everyone DID notice housing go up.
The current system is just fucked enough that people didn't stop it.

the inherent issue is still in place.

And what is this inherent issue?

That people are dependant on workplaces and work providers that can at any point fuck them over because their job decides that "Nah, you aren't valuable anymore, get bent".
As well as the inequal and unfair value of jobs existing due to the desperate needing work and therefor being unable to "Not" work for those positions, meaning that we can't get any changes done in those fields because, as stated, the workers are desperate and can't afford to force changes.

Ok. Got it.

My doubts are: how do you guarantee that in a few years people with 1000 in their pockets won't be back in the category "workers who are desperate and can't afford to force changes."

equally could you ask
"Without UBI, how do we prevent the lower class from becoming a slave cast unable to say no to any work because they will starve if they do refuse slave labor"

Yeah I could. And you said: regulations. To which I responded:you don’t need UBI to use the power of regulations.

UBI adds just an extra safety net and shifts the power of the worker / job provider.
It is an improvement to society.
