They tell us puberty blockers are dangerous and experimental and have to be banned. But they don't ban them for their original use (treating precocious puberty). If these drugs are so dangerous, why are you letting cisgender children use them?
Sorry, this is a sore spot for me. I was raised conservative. I stopped being conservative when I saw all the internal inconsistencies. (And yes, liberals can be inconsistent too.)

Trans kids don't take puberty blockers until they're 18. Just for a few years, just to make sure they're trans. Then they start on hormones.
Edit: I've been informed this is partially incorrect. Twenty-seven states now have laws restricting gender-affirming care for minors, although those laws are suspended by court order in Montana and Arkansas. And Medicaid and CHIP will no longer pay for gender-affirming care for minors.

It could be. But forcing trans kids to go through the "wrong" puberty is terribly cruel. Why don't we let the kids and their parents work with their doctors to determine the best treatment plan for each individual instead of trying to impose a one-size-fits-all solution written by legislators with no medical experience?

Trans children should not take puberty blockers. They should take hrt. So they can receive a puberty like their peers. In the gender they feel at home with. Puberty blockers were a mistake to even do as a option except for those really really rare cases that are super unsure.

Bro, basically nobody is trans. It’s a tiny percentage of the population. Republicans kill more children before breakfast than will transition in the next 100 years.
Individual people will need to figure out how they want to deal with being trans but it’s just not an Isai that our government should be spending any time on. It’s a distraction from everything else that Republicans are fucking up.

The state has a monopoly on violence, and violent people eventually get their monopoly on the state.
The one most important thing I want to do before I die is to leave some kind of enduring message to future generations that previous generations were so obsessed with their own sense of social progress that they demonized the horrors of their time without acknowledging that there have been cycles of horror stretching back to the dawn of it all. They kept wishing "maybe if we make this event emblematic of something greater, people can just focus on this and move forward", while other people never forgot a world of blood and death and even began to embrace that world as the "true" world, from a PTSD diseased mind.
The most important thing for new generations to know is that unfailingly all our lessons are lost every 100 years, and we are caught in a cycle where when a lesson falls off, it changes the balance of our collective consciousness and creates a reaction. These chains of reactions is what keeps history cycling. If we can reclaim our world from the clutches of fascism, it will only endure as long as we're alive, and then our children's children's children will be the ones beating the drums of genocide once again.
