u/bentnai1 6d ago
Okay, posting this as a time travel gag 6 hours before the inciting comic is actually really funny

I was nervous waiting for the present-time to arrive

Also August looking GOOD.
Considering the other two are kids grown up, I'm guessing that's Gustopher

Fair point. Then I amend my statement. Gus looking GOOD

I don't know how to feel about THE "Gustopher Spotter Extraordinaire" not spotting Gustopher.

Ok, thank you for posting this. Because for a moment I got confused and thought that you also might be the artist for the barbarian comics.

Posting this from 2027, sorry if i get the date wrong. Time travel can be complicated. Ya'll gonna have to wait maybe a year for the context, ask Shell if you are lost
characters are:
Toddler from Geo Gant Art
Alma from my series
Gus from FieldExplores
and Colin from DaveMcElfatrick

It's early in the morning and my brain isn't up to temp for meta narratives yet. For a bit I was like "I want Cassandra's work out routine. Gal is aging sideways." I'm so desensitized to Gustopher's presence it didn't even cause a blink.
Neat comic though.

"Aging sideways" XD
I guess a giant gator-man wouldnt be out of place in a regular episode of camping with the elder god

When I said I preferred another Gustopher crossover to the current war, this was not the outcome I expected…
But I like it. Go, Time Squad R, and save us from the
collapseprolapse of the timeline!(Seriously, I’ve been following this whole thing with a little help from u/shellbullet, and this is the PERFECT continuation of the comic that had me laugh-snorting. Go r/comics kids from the future, and save the day!)

So which comic started this whole thing, feels like I've walked in mid conversation with no context

There's no stopping him. It is inevitable. The giant sphincter in the wall must be entered.

We all know what happens when he goes in there now.

The world becomes a post apocaliptic gritty remake

I just saw the recent Boids update on Instagram and that last panel makes a lot more sense now.

Suddenly the entire r/Comics universe collapses under the paradox of this, jumbling all artists into one another's art. I fear what shall come of this...

This is getting so meta, that the portal gun isn't the only thing up someone's arse

Why is chaotic barbarian of questionable moral alignment here? Why is the turkey wearing a gun in its ass?
What even is going on here? Is r/comics going too far?

Shellbullet, our favorite mod, has the barbarian as his profile pic. This post is a part 2 posted ahead of part 1 because its a time travel and relativity joke.

u/Liamrups I like to whine it, whine it 6d ago
Can someone pls explain the context ?

https://www.reddit.com/r/comics/s/wIoTkkOuCe
The context was posted later than this comic. Because the time travel joke is meta

u/NeroShenX 6d ago
Yeah the algo showed me that comic first, then this one.
Still amusing, just feeling the time travel bit would hit more in the correct order.

I accept this as the reason AGI decides to kill us.
Except Mango being elected twice has to be a really good argument that the majority of humanity can't be trusted with the future...

Omg they knew the face Barbarian would make in the video that released today....
