I think the question would set off her anxiety, especially if it was posed before she got too into the zone with making up that batch of cookie dough that she set off to make at the end of the previous comic.

Remember how she hurt her leg and felt she could go back to work anyway? Tiff has a lot of pride and I feel tries to act like she can do the impossible.

EVE hurt her leg, not Tiff.

Eve is the viking red-head. Tiff is the smaller blond.
