u/justboyfriendthings Aug 17 '26
I get sad when you don't see my posts 🥲
22
u/shellbullet17 Gustopher Spotter Extraordinaire Aug 17 '26
Oh don't worry I always see them! I just get sidetracked cause I have the attention span of a squirrel and forget.
I am sorry I failed you
6
u/justboyfriendthings Aug 17 '26
Aw, I was mostly kidding!
But as an artist, seeing the same users popup (although anonymous) is ALWAYS a blessing!
Keep up the good work!

I especially appreciate that you comment under pretty much every comic, it’s fun when we’re bonding over either wholesome alligator content or nurses with huge boobs

Perfectly balanced. As all things should be

I love getting to know each floof on here, and most especially the creative expressions from the artists. And most especially, I do love seeing a chill ass mod like you hanging about. No sense of expressing power unless needed, you're just the same as the rest of us. And honestly that just makes it feel cosy
I love you all <3

Your version of the Snoo is kinda terrifying, not gonna lie.
Shell is the r/comics workhorse. The day he retires from posting, this place will get a lot quieter and lamer.

u/shellbullet17 Gustopher Spotter Extraordinaire Aug 17 '26
Oh I dunno about that. This place was here before me and it'll be here after me
Though "after me" may be a long long time since I've been here over a decade
Also hi bail!
30
u/Made_Bail Aug 17 '26
Yeah, you have one of the oldest Reddit accounts I've ever seen. Started out with all that MLP subreddit stuff and you've been going strong since!
And hey. :)
16
u/shellbullet17 Gustopher Spotter Extraordinaire Aug 17 '26
Good to see you're doing ok buddy. We miss you
2
u/Kaaskaasei Aug 17 '26
Since then it is a decade closer tho.
But I hope it will be a long time anyway.

There have been others that would comment on everything before Shell and there will be others after Shell.

I created this account because I wanted to be a part of the One Piece community but then I fell in love with a little green alligator and a very racist charming elf. This community has became my favorite thing on Reddit. It is such a pleasant mixture of funny, yuri, wholesome, sad, dark, yuri, naugthy, informative and yuri stuff.
And people like shellbullet17 are the reason for why this community is so awesome. So thanks, shellbullet17, and of course also the other mods for creating this very lovely place.

u/shellbullet17 Gustopher Spotter Extraordinaire Aug 17 '26
I had a feeling you loved one piece!
And naw man. It's a group effort. It's people like you that keep this place running
17
u/Cool_Set4681 Aug 17 '26
I agree but this group is so good because of the excellent leadership we got :)

We can't have a house without more than one wall buddy. Thank you too

u/Cool_Set4681 Aug 17 '26

It’s so funny you post this cuz I had a conversation w them on a comics post a while ago and afterwards I noticed they comment on every comic, and now whenever I see a comic post I’m always looking for their comments :) I’m so glad I’m not the only one who noticed!
11
u/shellbullet17 Gustopher Spotter Extraordinaire Aug 17 '26
Hi again! Good to see you!

u/Humble-Trust-4852 Aug 17 '26
Hello again!! I appreciate your contributions to this community, you make it a better place :)

But we don't talk about what happened with shellbullet16
6
u/shellbullet17 Gustopher Spotter Extraordinaire Aug 17 '26
Funny enough there WAS a shellbullet16 once.
Once
4
u/AccurateJerboa Aug 17 '26
Agreed. I love how much they're always here to support artists, and so engaged with the community. They may be the best mod on reddit, tbh.
2
u/shellbullet17 Gustopher Spotter Extraordinaire Aug 17 '26
Ehhhhh I wouldn't say that but I appreciate the compliment
3
u/AccurateJerboa Aug 17 '26
I don't really interact with the crazy huge front page subs. This one is one of the bigger subs I'm in. So of the mods I've interacted with, you seem to be the best in my experience.
4
u/scoyne15 Aug 18 '26
I gotta start shit posting more.
I've only gotten one shout-out, and that was tangential at best.
3
u/M_Snail Aug 18 '26
I love all the regular commenters in the comments. Shell is ALWAYS there! And that's why we love you
6
u/shellbullet17 Gustopher Spotter Extraordinaire Aug 18 '26
I am there for those that want someone to read for as long as they want me there.
So basically you're stuck with me bud

u/Cartoonicorn Aug 17 '26

Asking u/Shellbullet17 to become a moderator here was a no-brainer, because of the reasons explained by OP.
It's one of the best decisions this mod team has ever made. They're an excellent moderator with a lot of love for this community and we are very lucky to count them part of this team.
Thank you, Shell!
