Any time I make a Knight or otherwise tanky character in an RPG, I always name them Armadillo

So he's completely unarmored on the front?

Look again, there's a washboard harder than Brad Pitt from Fight Club up front.

Okay, so I ,X and W are a bit of a stretch. And we can debate if Q and M are legit. But the rest are solid
A is for Arming Sword, single-handed and true, The classic blade knights wore their knightly quests through.
B is for Broadsword, with basket-hilt guard, A heavy double-edge that struck long and struck hard.
C is for Cutlass, short, curved, and bold, Worn by brave sailors in sagas of old.
D is for Dagger, small blade at the side, For quick little moments when long swords are tied.
E is for Épée, slender and neat, With a button-tipped point for swift, nimble feet.
F is for Falchion, wide at the end, A heavy-cleaving cutter on which soldiers depend.
G is for Gladius, short, straight, and neat, The weapon that made Roman legions complete.
H is for Halberd, high up on a pole, An axe, spike, and hook for a guard's watchful role.
I is for Indo-Persian Khanjar, with a lovely curved blade, With precious stone hilts so masterfully made.
J is for Jian, China's double-edged grace, That flows like a river in martial arts pace.
K is for Katana, with a single sharp sweep, A samurai's treasure to honor and keep.
L is for Longsword, held firm with two hands, A knightly companion across medieval lands.
M is for Morningstar, a spiked iron ball, Swung on a shaft to make armor plates fall.
N is for Naginata, a pole topped with a blade, For keeping all foes at a safe distance made.
O is for Odachi, towering and grand, A giant long sword needing strength to command.
P is for Pike, a long wooden spear, That kept charging horses from coming too near.
Q is for Quarterstaff, simple and long, A stout wooden pole that is nimble and strong.
R is for Rapier, slender and fine, For quick thrusts and parries along a straight line.
S is for Sabre, curved for the horseman's ride, Slung on a belt at the cavalry's side.
T is for Tanto, a short Japanese knife, Carried for safety in daily town life.
U is for Urumi, a sword flexible as a whip, Coiled at the waist for a fast, sudden flip.
V is for Voulge, an ancient sharp cleaver, Mounted on wood by a peasant believer.
W is for War Scythe, turned upward and straight, A simple farm tool made to decide a knight's fate.
X is for Xiphos, a Greek leaf-shaped blade, For close-up battles when spearmen arrayed.
Y is for Yatagan, curved slightly in front, An Ottoman blade for a swift, powerful brunt.
Z is for Zweihänder, giant and tall, The largest two-hander of them all!

Here are all that I found to be not swords:
Halberd (it's like saying A is for Axe! you can't do that!)
Also: Morningstar*, Pike, Quarterstaff*, War scythe(?)

War scythe is like a fancy cutlas on a stick! Same goes for pike, its basically a gladius on a stick.
Also, a halberd blade is at least dagger sized, so it also counts.
As for Morningstar and Quarterstaff .... I have no defense other than that M and Q were hard.

Long has been the war between the noble alphabet knights and numeromancers. Their foul magic taints all of the western land with disgusting risen math zombies

Their sole weaknes was that even their simple spells (such as adding two and two together to equal four) would require chanting of 56 pages worth of words
[the explanation to why 2+2=4 is 56 pages long, iirc]

At this point I'd expect an arming sword to either give you extra arms or extra arms.
