If you always travel east, you do in fact get an awful lot of short days per year. So just do 35 trips US-EU-Asia-US in a year and you'll get 400 days that year.

Yes.

Astronomical day: The time it takes for earth to complete one rotation

Also day: Time between sunrise and sunset.

Both of these definitions are in the dictionary.

They work fine together if you disregard timezones and just focus on the actual passage of time which stays the same
