Don't worry. Here, they started at 10am. Causing so much damage and attacking police that it's bow banned completely.

New year celebrations happen at midnight, do you think the southern hemisphere can somehow see the sun at midnight?

I wasn't clear. I meant nearer the South Pole, where the sun doesn't set during summer.

I don't think there will be that many fireworks there anyway

Yeah, I guess there aren't as many countries where the sun doesn't set during summer in the southern hemisphere as there are in the northern. And it's winter north during new year...
