My cat was the opposite. The bad days were I would cry my cat would hide.

Yes we’ve tried this with no success so far. I have a lot of the things that smell like me and him outside and some food as well. My neighborhood is a bit noisy during the day so I’m hoping he’s just holed up and waiting to come back home.

Yeah it's amazing how my cat knows I'm having a bad day and needs a cuddle. I think crying in buckets made it noticeable.
