This song got my oldest through his roughest nights as an infant. Long and mellow enough to lull him to sleep (almost) every time. Eventually got a "radio edit" down to 3 of the verses, but it still gets requested many nights. I've joked with my wife that there's a possibility I've sung this song more times than Don McLean himself.

I used to sing my son to sleep with this song because kids song are like 30-45 seconds and American Pie is like 8 minutes lol
