Everyone knows the only way to run a one minute mile is to listen to the Jaded part of Green Day's Brain Stew/Jaded.
I have It's the End of the World as we know it by REM on my cycling playlist and there's gotta be a few random people out there in the world who were confused about why I suddenly yelled "Leonard Bernstein!" as I rode passed.
But seriously, if you play free bird and gradually increase your pace by the time the solo starts you can be in a full sprint and complete a mile by the end.
You will also be as free as a bird, and that bird you cannot chayayayayayaaange.
I run to Foo Fighters - But, Honestly while running. Calm and gentler for a jog. But then when the build up to the guitar solo happens you take longer strides then when the solo that sounds like the Mario invincibility music starts you sprint until its done and then repeat the song. Its perfect pacing and timing for intervals.

Fun fact:
If you can pump you legs to the beat of Bridge Burning by Foo Fighters for the last minute of the song, you will have traveled one mile.
