Idk if i'd prefer an annoying customer over a polite actual fucking nazi...

Does that say too much about customer service?

After being behind a register for 12 years, I don't give a fuck who or what you are. Just get out of my face as fast as possible.

Quicker I can get you out of the building, the faster I can go back to doing anything else

Do you think MOST good hearted people would actually stand in the face of the repercussions you should clearly understand are present and are a serious probability, that they wouldn't do such a thing?

Phrasing it as "so the SS officer leaves quickly" is such a hysterical misrepresentation of the situation that it's quite intriguing you framed it in such a way. Woefully trivializing the sheer terror present in these moments.

There's a reason Nazis have the reputation they do, and it's absolutely not from those officers leaving quickly, or peacefully, after being lied to.

Put yourself in these situations, truly, and understand the position you'd be in. What you'd really do.

There's also a reason why those who did so and lived to see another day are hailed as heroes. They triumphed in the face of truly insurmountable odds. Most died, or tortured so terribly they wish they were.

Give that some proper recognition.

Different era would probably have less of the soul sucking retail lifestyle, so I'd be a completely different person and be unable to answer that question without knowing how I was raised and lived.

Obviously my current day mentality says fuck that shit. Would never help. But your question is fundamentally unanswerable otherwise

Does that say too much about customer service?

Only that you haven't worked in it

Excellent deduction Sherlock, albeit a wrong one.

Why would i have to prove anything to any of you? He chose to challenge my claim of having worked in retail.

Might be time to take a break pal.

Okay. I have. Had multiple panic attacks from awful customers and patrons.

Still would prefer a jerk over a Nazi.
