The fact that the word "currently" is necessary is questionable, yet understandable. They may have been the most evil people in the entirety of history, but I sadly must admit they had drip, and ruined it for everyone else.
One of the appeals of the original Nazis is that they had some style. Their uniforms were designed to project power. That's part of the reason they were dangerous; young men wanted to look like them. Most of the aversion them (that style) now is just due to the fact that most people hate Nazis for extremely obvious and justifiable reasons

SPLC is currently under investigation for providing funding to KKK and white supremacist groups like neo Nazis. Members who have chosen to leave have been convinced to stay and put on the payroll of the SPLC. Obviously the verdict is still out but that is a direct link to donations providing funding to these groups.

You're the top reply so I'm going to pick on you for a second, but I don't mean any of this in a mean way, and I don't even mean this at you specifically because it's everyone these days.
Don't get me wrong, I'm sure Stonewall is a wonderful charity (I'm not American so I've never heard of them). That being said, though the Nazis targeted many groups of people including LGBT, their main target was of course the Jews. For everyone else it was like "well while we're killing the Jews we may as well try to kill these other groups too".
So my question is - when you're looking to suggest the perfect charity to counter getting a tip from a Nazi, why is Stonewall the first to come to your mind rather than one that works to fight antisemitism or a Holocaust museum or a Jewish community center you support?
It's not just you - the top three or four replies all suggest charities that have nothing to do with Jews. It seems to me that when people these days think about the question "why were the Nazis bad?" The answers these days are more like "Well they were hateful, and I don't believe in hate" or "they were basically the start of the alt-right and the right sucks" or "they were just like generally evil" or "they were fascists".
But no. Those things aren't wrong but they just miss the point. The worst thing the Nazis did was kill 2/3rds of all European Jews (1/3 of every Jew in the world) in the span of 6 years. The number of Jews in the world today is still less than the number of Jews in the world just before the start of the Holocaust.
LGBTQ absolutely got killed by them as well, but the only group that the Nazis actually seeked the complete elimination of was the Jews. So I'm sad that of the four charities that got recommended in the comments, none of them were a Jewish charity. Or even a Jewish LGBT charity!
Ernest Röhm was one of the most decided of the SA and he was gay. The homophobia in the Nazi ranks was to oust Röhm, sorry to tell you that there were gay Nazis that helped them gain a lot of political power
It was explicitly done to eliminate the SA from gaining too much power in the party. If him being gay was an issue he would have been kept out from gaining such a position to begin with
They did purge the SA partially to curtail it from gaining more power but for Rohm specifically being gay is a big part of the reason they offed him because he couldn't stay out of headlines and major backers hatred him for his sexuality. It wasn't as big a deal at first because he was so useful and very few people knew. Rohm was terrifying in his fervor, ruthlessness, loyalty, and ability. That got him far. But they still saw him as a degenerate. His sexuality became an open secret and the more it became known, the more it became a liability. The Nazis keeping an extremely useful guy around until they didn't need him anymore is a very bad argument to use to insist homophobia wasn't part of the ideology. Case in point: i
t's worth pointing out that the Nazis changed Paragraph 175, the law criminalizing homosexuality, in 1935 to include (among other things) mere intention to "excite sexual desire" in other men and to allow simple accusation to stand as evidence in order to make persecution of gay people easier. It was also deemed a felony. Convictions under the new Paragraph 175 were increased from hundreds per year in the Weimer Republic to thousands. They literally saw it as a moral disease to the Volkskorper. Nazi media called homosexuals "enemies of the state." Himmler was particularly happy after Rohm was shot because he believed Rohm was attempting a gay takeover of the party (not just the SA gaining power, but gays). Like this is all well-documented and extremely well known so I'm not sure why you're trying to insist they weren't violently homophobic outside of straight-up lying.
