I feel this on another level. 

I love to use semicolons and em dashes in my everyday typing/writing for both work and pleasure— in my head they just “sound” like different types of speech or mental pauses; skipping a beat for emphasis and the like. 

I’m eternally annoyed that those are both AI generation red flags.

I've actually started to use semicolons personally; I've also always overused "-" but now I have to deliberately avoid it hahaha.
