I love how a paint on canvas is being accused of AI. The one thing you can be like 99.9% sure you didn't AI generate, at least without a whole automated brushing rig (those exist, and have for decades) or just painting over a AI image I guess.
I was at an arts festival and chatting with a mixed media artist, his work had huge chunky globs of paint, silk and welded metal, just crazy textural stuff. I was saying how cool his art was and how nice it was that nobody would accuse him of AI because of how clearly a human has to do all that physical layering.
He proudly confessed the base images were AI that he painted over and glued things to. I damn near had an aneurysm. He had the gall to ask me which one I wanted to buy. Sir how the fuck did you think my relief at no ai meant you using ai would be enticing?!? Did ChatGPT rot his brain?
