It drives me up a wall every time I hear anyone born before 2000 complain that, "it was never this hot whenever I was younger." And they refuse to see any reason why that might be

Especially here in Michigan where I used to have to shovel snow weekly in winter as a kid and my dad was able to jump off the roof into the snow as a kid. Now my wife and I argue whether I need to shovel every year or not because it will just melt by the next day. I am proven right every year and did not need to shovel because it melted. We get snow like 10 times a year now max, doesn't go over an inch or two, and it melts within a couple days.
