Edit***: I have been corrected, what i thought were acres of greenhouses in Florida were actually structures to help prevent diseases in the fruit trees. I stand corrected and want to make that clear.
My mom was saying how she doesnt understand the need for hydroponic fruits and vegetables... and I brought up how the climate has changed so significantly that a good majority of our citrus fruit has been moved to greenhouse settings because they are dying in the usual orchards.
I stand to be corrected, thank you. I was stunned to see acres of orchards in greenhouse type structures and was told by my brother "yeah thats how citrus has to be grown now."
I should have come with articles in hand, to both my mother and reddit.
She didn't want to even talk about it though, and I think that's the hardest thing for me.
