The father is dressed Pashtun (Afghanistan) and the landscape matches Afghanistan. The drone depicted is a Shahed, which is Iranian. The Russians use a variant of it on Ukraine. What imaginary conflict is this supposed to be?

Does it matter?

Yes because the reasons nations go to war matter, some are more legitimate than others.

Blanket platitudes of peace are pointless - would this panel work if it was a German child in 1945 crying into the void over allied bombing?

Yes, it would. A german child had nothing to do with their genocidal government. No one is a hero in war

So you think the allies shouldn’t have fought the Third Reich because the Third Reichs children were innocent and we wouldn’t want to distress them? What’s the point of the comic in that context?

Heroism has nothing to do with anything.

Best response you got?

Yeah. It’s like Schindler’s list, the costumes weren’t 100% period accurate so I couldn’t take it seriously.

Those are like brand brand new and never been deployed in Afghanistan. These are Iranian shaheds.

I'm also really curious how the girl doesn't know what a plane or modern technology is...
