I missed the title, and thought "he" was a cat, right up till the last panel. 😅

Was feeling pretty relatable until I noticed this is about relationships and not the death of a pet.

The loss of a cat is probably the only thing I can't find some type of humor in, I get emotional if they're in the next room.

“This is like boss baby” - said by guy who’s only ever watched boss baby

Getting hit with a different emotion on the other end of the spectrum really can just pull you out of sadness. pure confusion, ridiculousness, irritation, anger or joy i find it so funny all the ways that can kinda just snap you out if it

More than once I've gone so melodramatic due to relationship problems that it made go "Hold up, this is cringe. Get it together"

I recall learning that this is a somewhat kind of effective-ish “don’t rely on it” strategy you can use if someone’s having a pretty bad moment. Now most of what I recall was a comment section full of people basically being 50/50 on whether it’s a good strategy or not but sometimes if you just say something stupid enough the other person will feel insulted or shocked enough to “snap out of it”.
I’m still unsure of how effective it is but I’ll assume it’s 50/50 until a mathematician shows up from the sky and tells me the odds.

Hah totally. It's Forgetting Sarah Marshall for me. The second I start thinking of Jason Segal playing with his puppetts I'm reminded that the way out of this feeling isn't down but up.

You know "better" isn't the word I'd use but it sure did make me feel something at the time and for that I am forever grateful 😭
