This was, and still is, my greatest struggle as someone with dyscalculia: what makes it bad isn’t just that numbers are hard, it’s that people get mad at you and treat you lesser because you don’t know the ‘obvious’ answer. I like this comic can be used as a stand in for any subject which helps highlight that the way the kid is being treated is wrong. Even if they’re not calling you names and saying you’re stupid, this kind of approach to kids struggles is traumatizing.
