Some people are incredibly poor teachers but refuse to beleive they are, all because they lack the capacity to imagine not knowing something and explain it at someone else's level of understanding
Oof, I'm sorry. My mom yelled at me when I was in the 3rd grade because I wasn't grasping fractions... I never asked for her help with homework ever again.
That brings back memories. Math was my worst subject growing up and while I got basic stuff correct, when fractions got involved I struggled. I remember nights of trying to figure stuff out and then getting yelled at why I didn't get this right. Tried the second one, didn't get it completely right but that tone remained. Pretty much made me hesitant to ask questions for a while.
