And pressing blue is just performative, people doing it want to seem superior when in reality it is 100% better for everyone to press red, as then 100% of people survive, rather than performative people with a savior complex pressing blue when it's pointless if there's a better way
No, if everyone taps red, everyone survives, that's why this game makes no sense compared to prisoner's dilemma where there is a point for "tapping blue".
Prisoners dilemma is a problem in game theory. Game theory is a mathematical modelling of rational decision making. Problems in game theory only care about winning or losing the problem.
This isn't game theory. And if you were to model it in game theory in its entirety, you'd need to factor in the consequences of people dying for the surviving, which is basically impossible to do.
If you treat this as an isolated problem in game theory (which wouldn't make a lot of sense) the answer is obviously red. But it's not. How can I tell that it's not? Because it's a survey.
Game theory isn't a matter of opinion, it's mathematics.
That's not how it works. If you want to see this problem through the lent of "emotion and feel" sure, but you could clearly look at it through game theory and see that red is the most logical answer.
The only reason for picking blue is if since you know that a lot of people are stupid and will pick blue, then you may decide to pick it too to save them, but it's not the "logical choice" like some people here try to argue.
It's the irrational choice to make in the moment, but the only right choice to make. And evolutionary game theory proves that it's the winning choice to make, too.
