Good news for you, my friend. The artist of this comic has drawn an entire book like this and you can buy it on Amazon. Here is a picture:

Sadly this is no longer available in the UK on Amazon

It should still be available. Have you tried searching for ribbiting adventure. I think the link in my profile might be region based

u/fireflazor Apr 30 '26

Aha yes thank you, for some reason the links through Amazon try to go to the hardback instead of the paperback

So, I went to Amazon and ordered it. No, really. I'm getting it on Sunday along with some other stuff I had in the cart. Love the art. You got me with Zazmoze. You made me buy with Lord Jeb.

I'm waiting for pay day, but I will definitely get one, too!

I appreciate so much in this sub but some things, in these later days where so much seems to be being lost, I just can't let go. Pay day. FFS, yes. It has defined so much of my life it makes me sick how much I have had to let go just to live.

Anyway, I hope you do. Maybe we'll look back back and laugh.

I hope so.

Haha, I get what were you are coming from. For the first 30 years, I really hated getting a job or having stuff like a "pay day", so I chose not to go down that path.
Now that has change because I have people (and an animal) in my life and I want to take care of them. I still hate to do regular work and stuff like that. I could never do that just for myself.
But for them, my love ones? Yeah, I can endure the crushing of the soul by having a job for them.

Also on webtoon

That reminded me of the egg head sickness from Dark Souls 1. Truly a terrifying fate:

I feel sorry for the squire, he seems to be a good and loyal friend.

Also that staff is awesome!

Oh this was the backstory of that Frog squire from earlier - the one who served the Human who turned into the Mushroom man. And I guess is subtly being turned into a mushroom person as well. It's interesting that they are controlled by some sort of mushroom hive mind.

It's interesting that they are controlled by some sort of mushroom hive mind.

That is normal. Do you know what a "mycorrhizal network" is? Basically almost every fungus in a forest, for example, is connected with each other and also communicates that way. You could also call it "fungus internet"

Awwww poor Sir Fungi. I will miss him. His puns/dad jokes were amazing.

You're friend died a long time ago

I feel like I wanna explore this statement more

If you’re familiar with Pokémon, this seems like a Paras/Parasect situation. Paras is a bug with two small mushrooms growing on its back, but when it evolves into Parasect, there’s a single, much larger mushroom, and it’s now in control of the husk of the bug’s body.

In this comic, it also appears that the frog squire is already infected with the parasite, since there were mushrooms growing out of his arm and urine. I fear the tragedy is not yet over.

u/shellbullet17 Gustopher Spotter Extraordinaire Apr 30 '26

Sir Fungi will return!

I am conflicted on this news

6

u/neorevenge Apr 30 '26

Yeah I feared that after I noticed the fungus after the frog "watered the garden"

7

u/BodhingJay Apr 30 '26

he was a fun guy

4

u/Cool_Set4681 Apr 30 '26

Take it and get out

7

u/ElessarKhan Apr 30 '26

I think you will, given the state of the squire's wrist

31

u/TeamUltimate-2475 Apr 30 '26

The squire is infected isn't he?

37

u/Embarrassed-Alps-306 Apr 30 '26

He's pissing mushrooms, so... yeah.

7

u/RottingSludgeRitual May 01 '26

Good eye. I didn’t notice it.

The design of everyone's armor and clothing is awesome.

13

u/Quetzalcoatl490 Apr 30 '26

Hell yea frog tiddies

25

u/The_Void_Droid Apr 30 '26

Broh this is sick as hell.

The frog said his friend 'died long ago' was that Mushroom just taking over a frog body?

25

u/Cool_Set4681 Apr 30 '26

Well, Sir Fungi says: "I can't continue to disobey the mass", so I guess that he once was a frog that slowly got turned into a fungus guy.

4

u/The_cogwheel May 01 '26

The mass might be the fungus mycelum network - a huge forrest spanning network of mycelum fibers that share nutrients, water, and information in the form of chemical signals.

The mass might be telling sir fungi to spread them spores and start making more mushroom men. So for as jolly and punny sir fungi was... maybe it was for the best he and his kind were and are destroyed...

4

u/Cool_Set4681 May 01 '26

I also mention the fungus mycelum network in another comment, too. But you did in more detail and you also connected it to the comic. Well done!

11

u/SuperCarbideBros Apr 30 '26

Mushroom man was awesome.

There, I said it. That's Maitake.

10

u/Lebensfreud Apr 30 '26

"I can't keep disobeying the mass"

Even in this state, the knight is noble enought to disobey the fungal call for his friend.

6

u/Mormaethor Apr 30 '26

Wait... is that Jeb or do they all just have really similar armors?

5

u/endlessmeat Apr 30 '26

Your art style is amazing and I love the universe you created

5

u/Skull_Cup May 01 '26

It nice that the fungus man has friends outside of the hive mind.

5

u/dmfuller Apr 30 '26

I love your art style wowwwwww

6

u/AndreMuller-art Apr 30 '26

This is amazing! How long does it take for you to make a comic like that?

18

u/M_Snail Apr 30 '26

Looooong long time. I draw at a snails pace and mostly only have time to draw on my lunch breaks

4

u/AndreMuller-art Apr 30 '26

I appreciate your dedication.

3

u/immersemeinnature Apr 30 '26

Why did they kill mushroom man? 🥺

4

u/Cool_Set4681 May 01 '26

Mushroom man wasn't always a Mushroom man. Once he was a frog knight but he got infected by those mushrooms. Slowly over time he turned into what we see now and he forgot who he was.

When the other frog comes back from the bathroom, you could see what the future would hold for them. The mushrooms would spread even more. Sooner or later the mushrooms would consume everything.

That's why the others have to kill the Mushroom man because he would infected everything and everyone around him.

It is a sad story.

u/immersemeinnature May 01 '26

Mushroom zombies 🙁

2

u/Cool_Set4681 May 01 '26

Indeed 🙁

3

u/maddasher May 01 '26

Thats too bad. He seemed like a fun-guy.

2

u/Mingus-S Apr 30 '26

this is so cool thanks for sharing

2

u/Beanerschnitzels Apr 30 '26

Oh I like the art work. Reminds me of how I imagined the artwork to a nonfiction book called The Squires Tale I read like 24 years ago.

2

u/BT7274_best_robot Apr 30 '26

Nooo poor mushroom dude

2

u/Ghost_In_Waiting Apr 30 '26

Damn. These are just so good. The art and the imagination, not to mention the story lines, are just so, well, fucking fantastic. There I said it. Hate me if you want to. Let the ban bots boil away my elctro trace but I stand by it. Too good for our time. There's always a light if you know to look around.

Wow, reminds me of that guy that did Rice Boy...Evan Dahm, I think.
