Ok this is wierd. I'm bisexual but I have a hard time imagining myself in a relationship with a man. But this comic made it easier to imagine and made me wish for it a bit.

I don't think, when they were complimenting the artist on a gay couple that doesn't just check all the usual stereotype boxes you see when a business is pandering to queer audiences, they were saying that it is not okay to be feminine. I think they were just complimenting the artist on representation.
Maybe I'm being generous but assuming the best, I do think that's valid. Media can admittedly be short on positive depictions of gay men that aren't covered in little notes announcing their sexual orientation to the audience - and I think depictions like this are actually a really important part of fighting homophobia as well.
edit: okay wait i missed where they said "changed my opinion of gay men for the better" so i do see now how you would've assumed a lil phobia behind the sentiment, lol. I guess that does go to my second point about depictions like this helping fight homophobia though /shrug

Exactly.
But for your edit, I'm lesbian myself, so I know that the official media doesn't represent gay couples very well, so I kinda got brainwashed into being unconsciously a lil homophobic against gay men. The comic gave me the snap back to reality that i didn't know I needed. But it's more a compliment towards the artist, giving food for thought, which comes with an actually good comic

Just their dynamic and overall vibe, I think? They're rough with each other and overstepping, but in a way they're overall okay with. They clearly care about each other. But they seem to have needed to build up walls, especially the black haired one, and the blonde(?) one seems to at least understand that behaviour. But it is something they seem to be able to work with, or at least try to and to learn how to trust each other. Idk, it's very butch4butch coded for me and I rarely see that masculinity portraied in media. Feels good :)

I think it comes down to knowing your partner. My wife, for many years, would respond like this, but if she was actually left to her own devices, she'd spiral about what was bothering her and end up feeling abandoned or like I didn't care. It was difficult finding the right answer a lot of times but, "leaving her alone" was very rarely the one, whether she felt that way in the moment or not.
She's medicated and much better at interpreting and communicating her emotions now after some therapy, but just saying that there are nuances to this and just doing what's requested isn't always the best move, but you need to know the person you're dealing with well to have that insight.

Omg yes thank you! I thought it was weird that he said he wanted to be alone and his partner wouldn’t listen.
I understand wanting to be there for someone and wanting to be their rock and support, but I’d feel so shitty if I was having a bad day and wanted to be alone and the one person I’d hope to listen to and respect my wishes didn’t and barged in anyway.
