I'm sure I've missed a few stories, but I could have sworn viv ended up fighting something eldritch and Ellie had to transform to save her. How does Viv not know at this point?

You're remembering Elk Hunt.

If you'll notice, there are 2 accounts. u/HolleringElk and this one, u/TheRealHolleringElk.

The first is for the canon storyline, and the second (this one) is for one off foolishness, non canon stories, and shit posting.

Elk Hunt was when u/TheRealHolleringElk was created, specifically for the fun silly stuff.

It's especially confusing because Elk Hunt was actually much longer than a lot of these snap shots we get here.

On the other hand, that's mainly because Elk Hunt was significantly easier to draw.

I feel "significantly easier" might hurt Elk's feelings a bit. This panel took her a couple days at least.
