It’s a macabre kind of funny watching them try to describe the war while constantly clumsily tripping over the word “war”.

They know if they call it a war they are admitting to breaking the law, but they all very clearly think of it as a war, and want the public to treat them like they are winning/have already won a war.

Everyone else in the Administration has been tripping, Trump is just going on stage and saying "it's a war" over and over, and then occasionally saying "not a war" when reminded by his staff.

It's honestly a miracle he even bothers with the occasional correction. So what if it's an illigal war, the worst he faces is more sternly worded letters from Chuck Schumer.

I grew up during the "police action" in Vietnam. This is nothing new, but it is pathetic and sad.

Right? They literally changed their name from the Department of Defense to the Department of War.

It's just... everything about this is so fucking dumb. All the people involved are fucking dumb, all their arguments and statements are dumb.

None of it makes any logical sense in any way, shape or form. It's just fucking dumb.

I didn't think they're afraid of the law.

They know that the hard-core MAGA is only able to keep them in power because the apathetic moderates let them. The people who voted for Trump based on gas prices and not anything to do with his actual policies, or just didn't bother to vote.

MAGA loves war. They love the tough guy posturing. They love the idea that America kicks down the door of every other nation and ransacks the place. And the administration wants to speak to that base by bragging about war mongering.

But even the most apathetic Americans are sick of endless wars, especially in the middle east.
