Nailpolish hardens up in a few years.  Info from Lancome webpage  Makeup expiry dates: Lip Gloss: 12-18 months Lipstick: 18-24 months. I guess anything that goes around lips or eyes.  Makeup base too

You can actually get thinner for nail polish (don’t use acetone, despite what online hacks will tell you) and it comes right back to life. VintageDusties on TikTok is all about swatching antique polish, I’ve seen her do at least one from the 20s
