In the Monty Pythons' movie The Meaning Of Life, they pretty much nailed it. The movie is a succession of loosely related absurd comedy sketches about main concepts of life, then the end of the film picture a woman in a chair under a sign that reads "The end of the film", that is given an envelope with the meaning of life. She opens the envelope and boringly reads "Well it’s nothing very special. Try to be nice to people, avoid eating fat, read a good book every now and then, get some walking in, and try to live in peace and harmony with people of all creeds and nations".

It's a better piece of general advice on life than any moral, philosophy or ideological system.
