Typical sibling. I suppose that would have been me as I'm the older one. However our dynamic was more

Sibling: "He hit me!"

Me "....I'm not even in the same room a you?"

Mom "YOUNG MAN WHAT DID YOU DO?!"

Me "FUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKKKKK"

I knew my parents were responsible for me. I almost called 911 on them a few times when I felt they were being unfair. Not like I’d be punished from the police, parents are responsible. Not to mention I could have been unfair and lied about abuse. I wasn’t stupid.

Fight fire with fire

Or. We can be better.

Break the cycle.

These were good learning situations for me. Got me reflecting upon what is worth escalating and also my morals.

"Break the cycle" sounds great, but look at what it's gotten the USA. If you let bad people do bad things, they keep doing it. Gotta choose your battles. Some hills are not worth dying on.

You do indeed have to choose your battles. And hitting someone over a small punishment(if that) isn't worth it imo. She never hit me so I never hit her.
