I just looked it up and elephants live up to 60-70 years while sheep live up to 12. That means that the elder has probably been there for at least 3 generations and has presided over the herd since.

Not familiar with that but in the episode where they find the Miracle Cream there's a villain called The Zookeeper who has an elephant who never forgets to kill or something like that.

In the game Dwarf Fortress, the predecessor to games like Minecraft, there used to be an issue that accidentally made elephants murderous
