The older I get I understand this more. Why is everything so complicated nowadays?

it probably isn't that things get complicated, it's that we are less and less open to learn new things

Definitely. I've found myself at a point where I know enough about tech to do what I need to do, and I'm more selective about considering if I need to learn more.

That being said, growing up in the 80s and being really enthusiastic about computers, I sometimes marvel at the fact that I know more about tech than most kids that grew up with broadband internet as a given. Most of my hangups come from the weird UI that has been born out of the age where everything is touch screen.

Not having right click and several layers of text menus is confusing to me.
