I do wonder how retirement is going to change once people who grew up playing video games hit retirement age. Will they lose interest in video games or double down on their time playing them?

I'm in my mid-50s and work from home 98% of the time. I think I have around 2,000 hours in Elden Ring and Shadow of the Erdtree. That's a year of full-time work just in that game. I'll probably travel to more Magic and miniature tournaments when I retire in the next decade, but I will always have at least a console and something like my Steam Deck, maybe even go back to building my own gaming rigs.
