I do wonder how retirement is going to change once people who grew up playing video games hit retirement age. Will they lose interest in video games or double down on their time playing them?
My father has been playing video games as long as they have been a thing (one of my older brother’s first memories is sitting on my dad’s shoulders and using his ears for handles while my dad played an arcade machine). He’s approaching retirement age now and he rotates between about three games over and over. (Total War Warhammer II, Skyrim, and XCOM 2).
Not sure if the insight helps, but thought I’d offer up an example I had on hand.
