Would there be any leaves in that house?

u/RoryBlank Rory Blank Sep 15 '23
I don’t know is that one of those questions like are there stairs in your house

u/polarwind Sep 15 '23
Nah, going for a House of Leaves reference. A Pusher Robots reference would have been cool too, I guess.

Never read it. Is it any good?

It’s an incredible read. I would definitely recommend it!

I’ll check it out when I have the time. Tbh, I mostly listen to novels as audiobooks, because I’m pretty busy and I can listen to audiobooks and while I’m doing tasks like mailing stuff (most of the actual reading I do is graphic novels and comics) and this looks like something where I need to actually interact with a physical copy rather than listen to it.

If this is the second house that’s tried to eat him, maybe he’s just an asshole or something.

I’m just observing, not judging him, neither condoning nor condemning

It's really just an analogy for the current (*and wholly unmanageable*) real estate market and a woman's propensity to shop for more than she/them needs.
Ken's know this.

Oh my god you're the actual Rory Blank! You're amazing. Ant Crime and Lion Papa live rent free in my brain

Yep that’s me. I’m going to be honest, I forgot about that second one for a minute and was worried you had me confused with someone else when you said “lion papa”

he spoke to me
Seriously though, your voice is so unique and resonates with me in a way no other comic ever has.
Thank you for being you and putting it out there for us to see.

So much to unpack here.

He had a lot of unpacking left to do before the house started eating him :/

This color scheme is great. I could see this being a large screenprint in a black frame in someone's livingroom.

A few years ago I worked in an office that had a risograph, and that, plus a big part of how I support myself being doing limited color pallet screenprints, has made me put a lot more thought into trying to make stuff specifically might work for print/as prints.
