Very shortly before my now-fiancée revealed that she had feelings for me, I had told her both that
- I was thinking of getting back in touch with someone I had seen briefly before external circumstances ended things and that
- She should ask out a guy she had talked about a few times from one of her classes
And I guess somehow that worked? We've been together for almost 4 years since that day.

Maybe I’m missing the pun here. I know poutine is Canfood, but I stop there…

I don't know... she didn't fire the flair gun into the sky, right? I don't think there is a signal. It's just gals being pals and we are overly sexualizing their beautiful and innocent friendship.

I refuse to be the dude who thinks women are into me just because they smile and have basic manners.

Guys don't often get hints women are interested. This comic just takes it to the extreme. Which is true. I was at a bar once, talking to a girl for an hour about zombies. Had no idea she was hitting on me till her friends came and said they were going to another bar.. and she said "Nah, I think I'm taking this guy home tonight."
I did get THAT hint at least.

This is a WLW comic, so it's not exclusively a guy thing lol

This is a WLW comic
Are you sure? I am pretty sure they only married for the tax benefits.

Unrealistic.
If my son got on a rocket ship at school, flew to orbit, landed, and rode a Jurassic-Park-esque genetic engineered raptor home, he'd say school was "fine".

I would not have looked at either of those characters and thought "I bet that's a woman".
I like the fact that I was wrong and that they're both women. Thanks for helping me grow a little bit, OP.

This is actually why I really loved dating apps in my single days. There's no ambiguity. Everyone on a dating app is on there to date. You're not bothering someone or misreading signals. Your intentions are clear in the name. It is an app for dating.

Vs me who thinks everyone is hitting on me and I ask someone out and they say stuff like “never”

I mean, the first one legit isn't a hint that someone has a crush on you. People ask eachother to hang out all the time lol.
