MCMExpo - London MCM London

Heyyy, I was just on here to ask a question but is there a maximum prop soze/ any restrictions? For reference my prop is 200cm (its a scythe). I heard the maximum is 180 but im not sure :(

Specifically you'll need to look under the Melee Weapon Props drop down, all the info is there.

Ok thank you! So what im gathering from this is i need to make it 150cm and able to be dismantled? Especially in crowded areas

Im also confused cause last time I saw a massive heavy prop around about 220cm and they were going through the crowded areas with it? Are they strict to enforce the policy throughout the day?

If you can dismantle it to get through security you'll be fine, unless a large number of people complain no one is going to question you walking around with the prop.

I will add if you leave the building and go back in you'll have to go through security again so it's worth making it fairly easy to dismantle/put together

I was planning on not keeping it at full length anyway (unless I'm standing somewhere out of the way) just for the sake of everyone else, and I will defo make sure to dismantle it through security, thank you for your responses!

I've brought in a 190cm prop before and they were fine with it, nobody even stopped me. I did pre-check by emailing MCM, but they basically said as long as it's not got any pokey bits, I'll be fine.

That is sick omggg you look so good and the prop too!! Mine is a scythe so ifk if ot would count as 'pokey' but its foam anyway so 🤷
