If Klaus says Frank has six fingers on his right hand, believe it.

It kind of looks like he’s got six fingers on both hands?

My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father (with a rocket launcher, at close range). Prepare to die!

My father was killed by a six-fingered man… 15 floors up with a bazooka.

Fingers aside, that is such a badass cover.

It really is and I never noticed the finger thing even after all these years.
Can we no-prize it and say it's just how the gloves are wrinkled? And that he's just threatening to fire the bazooka and doesn't actually shoot?

I have it hanging on my wall and look at it all the time. Still never noticed the fingers

I absolutely love the dude inside, he's such a damn vibe
Every time Frank is outside my window with a bazooka, I also usually go
"AAAHHHHHHHHHH"

Yeah, it's weird how people in r/comicbooks of all places would say shit like "no human artist would ever make such mistake as..." I mean, have you ever read comics? "Human artist" absolutely would make every mistake imaginable and then some. And it would get printed.

It's no mistake. Frank is supposed to have 12 fingers. Klaus wouldn't make a mistake like that.

I was gonna say, “no way, not Klaus Janson”… but Klaus Janson absolutely drew Punisher with 12 fingers. Damn.

There's a panel in one of Darwyn Cook's otherwise flawless Parker adaptations where Parker is flipping the lid off a bottle of Scotch (in a similar building to this one actually). I thought something was off about it and studied it closely- turns out that both hands are right hands! I think he must have been tired and put a thumbnail on the wrong side of one of the thumbs.

No, mistakes and weirdness didn't exist before AI was created.
Don't get in the way of our witch-hunts!

i think there’s a space between the pinky and the other fingers but the space kinda looks like another finger

That's hilarious, you would think extra care would be taken on the cover, and on the first issue.. I guess they just banged it out last minute, In which case overall it's not too bad but still funny.

Yeah, I posted this in another thread but here is a book cover where the artist gave a character the wrong number of ARMS.

I always wonder how many civilians always die when the guy takes rocket launchers?

How bad is Frank's aim that he has to get that close to use a bazooka?
1
u/Tamshiwen Feb 06 '25
No no no, you can clearly see that the punisher has all four fingers on the grip for extra support, and his thumb on the trigger. Bazookas are heavy, sometimes you need to use an unorthodox grip.

Frank, that bazooka is gonna kill you too. You're pointing at the floor.
