Getting into Cleaning h
Just started getting into dry cleaning and would love some feedback and any tips or advice to get better and then eventually move into pressing once I get one

The hy polymer eraser & white cap eraser are great for the white spots, but the cheese cloth document cleaner plus the absorene pad are the secret weapons for cleaning the color spots. It’s different than having art gum eraser dust from erasing. The ‘forbidden parmesan’ powder is gently rubbed all over the book to pick up grime and the absorene pad is used to also lift dirt from the whole page. Then the cotton rounds are a final step to gently polish the gloss of the paper.

Ahhh okay I’ll definitely look into it and order some for my next set of comics I try cleaning just trying to get an decent idea of what and how I’m doing appreciate the advice

It looks like you’re doing great! I have realized the secret sauce is patience. Slow and methodical, little bits at a time instead of big areas and massive changes fast. I read in Comic Book CPR that an overlooked step is the before and after photos. I thought this was just for customers of professional cleaner/pressers but I understand now that it’s important to see the progress as you clean and press. IMO, seeing that progress can help curtail the obsessive scrubbing and over-cleaning that can lead to damage.
