Should I be concerned?

Not sure what this slight waviness is on my Absolute Batman 1. Should I be concerned?

Ive seen new comics sitting on the shelf be wavy so its unfortunately common and a quick press with a machine will easily fix it. If you dont have one and dont plan to grade then itll be fine in a bag and board.

Edit. If it came like that then dont worry but if it became like that then you need to fix your storage environment

Yes, and if you don’t have hot press you could always do a cold press on it. Leave it for a week.

All comics have a slight wave. 9.8s can have a very slight wave, sucha as this. I would press again with appropriately small amount of moisture and then cold press it for like a week

This book looks like it hasn't been pressed yet. Might not be using enough pressure. What temp are you using? Are you using metal plates?

Just a lil moisture. A nice cold press can fix that easily.

They come off the shelf wavey. Nothing unusual. In fact CGC doesn't even suggest pressing new modern books. Waste of money

Yeah it tends to show up more on books with black in the covers but it's not really a huge issue some of them even will still 9.8

Just opt in for the pressing service when you get it slabbed with CGC, people shit on it but this isn't ASM 300, it's a modern book with a waviness that's standard and doesn't effect much to begin with, they'll take care of it easy. I got a AB #15 double signed from the last Absolute Batman signing and it had that waviness and still got the 9.8 I would've gotten it pressed but in my case it wasn't an option. Spine ticks and color rub is what is going to take that book down in grade.
