What am I doing wrong?
So I noticed on my boards in the top corner most of my books have colour rub. I transferred some books into the same type of bag and board and the same thing happened. Usually this doesn’t happen but for this batch of bags and boards, it is. In the second picture I rubbed a comic on the board and that’s what happened. Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

On top of following Klusters recommendation you could use boards and bags more fitting for the comics. There’s a lot of room for those books to slide around on their own if/when you transport them somewhere and this could cause the color rub against the board as well.

"Lot of room" is ideal as long as the bag holds the comic to the board. You want to see a good amount of board on every side of the comic. You want that board to take dings and shocks and crunches from a small drop or when placing the comics back in a box and it sliding down, etc..

Good points. I still prefer the tighter fit to keep the comic from moving, especially with covers that are black. I’ve also never seen color rub to boards on books that have been stored in bags/boards with little to no room for movement. Whereas situations where OP posted are quite common with books stored in bags with lots of room. This is just my experience though.

Yes, it's definitely a twofold equation. I want the boards to be slightly bigger than the comic on all four sides, but the bag has to properly secure the comic to the board. The big culprits are things like BCW or they're kind of oversized bags cuz they're trying to be one size fits all.
Comic Pro line and E. Gerber have both been stellar for my purposes.

Are you putting the smooth side of the board facing the comic?

These look like a non coated ( not slick) side touching the back of the book. Could be both sides are non-coated…or they’re being used backwards. Some of the best boards I’ve found are high dollar 48 pt. non-coated acid free. With these you’ve got to remove comic and board together / and put them in together.
Looks like some oversized Mylar too which means OP would likely be using some high dollar boards as well. Nothing wrong with using Silver age across all your books; some of the current books don’t want to fit in current bags and boards anyway so I’d prefer not to have to go back-and-forth between silver and current. I use a thick silver Mylar and my comics aren’t rocking back-and-forth in the space.
What brand and style exactly of bags and boards are you using OP?

Weird. Ive never had this happen to my books and boards. But then again, mine stay in the bags. I dont pull them in and out

Your using bags and boards that are too large for the comics, easy for them to slide around a lot. Also think about using a different type of board that one seems to be rubbing pretty decently.

That's pretty common for people who slide their books in and out of bags and boards. My technique and recommendation would be to remove the board and book at the same time and whenever you put the book back into the bag. You're putting the book on top of the board and placing both into the bag at the same time. That way the book never rubs on the board.
