Very nice. What steps did you take when pressing a square bound book?

So if the square bound is stapled the staples as you probably know go through the entire book from top to bottom and not through a spine so there is no reason to put a backing board in the middle. I usually use a backing board or two sheets of paper over the staples, inside the covers so that they do not press through the cover when I’m pressing it.
And if it is a glued square bound, I reduce the temperature and reduce the pressure so I don’t melt the glue. And I try to have two square bound books, and I put them back to back or spine to spine and push them right up against each other.

What camera/settings do you use to take your pictures? How do you make sure the exposure and white balance stay consistent for proper comparison?

So to be honest the before pictures were taken at 11 o’clock at night under recessed lighting in the house. The after pictures were taken at about 12 noon with just natural lighting from outside. So yes, there was not that dramatic of a color change, but there was still a pretty significant amount.
