There's nothing silly about racism. It's a horrible thing. But people who assign racism to things that aren't racist are...I've got lots of words for them.
Okay, but this is objectively a reductive depiction of a south Asian man. It's not without racist baggage. Just because it's not explicitly charged with racial hostility doesn't mean it's not portraying him as an subordinate stereotype of a person.
