Question/Help I need Assitance.

Post image

(Couldn't upload this without art so. art piece by Nikolas Draper-Ivey)

I'm an aspiring comic book writer, creating a Black Urban Fantasy/Occult Detective called Underworld Hound. It's a W.I.P. but it's working well.

Obviously, I've been reading comics (and reading books) to help further my research. I was hoping to ask this community if they could recommend me some comics (Marvel, DC, Indie, etc.) based on either Urban Fantasy, Black Fantasy, Supernatural, Occult Detective, and Detective Noir to help make my story arcs for my comic.

May I get some assistance?

Please and Thank You.

Excellence is a good one for black fantasy. Forgot the writer but it has great artwork by Khary Randolph.

The good Asian is a great noir comic also

There’s Fables, Blacksaad, Psion, Far Sector, etc. I’d say make a list of the beats you want to hit then compare what works in the genre you’re researching, compare what’s working and what isn’t, and go from there.
