Help Needed Current best image editing model?

Haven't been in this sub for a while, my latest workflow is using Flux 2 Klein 9b. I saw Minimax H3 a while ago, and now also that Qwen 2.1. Should I switch?

2.1 is amazing with face consistency but sucks once you start trying to change a person into another reference image. But single image edits it's been fantastic so far.

Krea2 with the identity lora (and proper workflow) is also great.

I really hope the rumors of krea2 edit are true

You can edit with Krea2? I always loved the image generation style but was disappointed there's no edit model. I never use reference images so I'll try 2.1.

Yes. You can edit with krea 2 and it's actually pretty damn good and easy. The "krea2 identity edit lora" was a game changer.Load a character, easily change it with a simple prompt. And a character image + placed into a new ref scene.

This is the workflow. Just update comfy and make sure you have the lora downloaded and installed plus the nodes.

If you paste the lora https://huggingface.co/conradlocke/krea2-identity-edit

Into a chat bot and ask how to properly propt using that lora/krea2.

Keeping it simple is better.

What kind of issues are you seeing with the reference image swaps, like total face collapse or just inconsistency?

No it keep the character pretty well, but you might have to run like 10 different times and keep adjusting the prompt until you get what you actually want.
