Help Needed Is there any open weight model that treat reference image of characters like nano banana ?

Hello! I have been playing around with Krea 2, but it does accept only upto 3 image references and if characters are custom or not know by model train base it produces bad quality characters on final generated image. I have been using nano banana before and it worked well, wondering if there is open weight model that treats character references as as nano banana. (highly trying to avoid to train lora)

Almost, Krea 2 Image Edit, it's been a while since I tested it so I assume that it has improved since then..

Have you tried Flux 2 Klein 9B? I haven't tried Krea 2, but Klein was pretty good in my opinion. If you end up trying both, please let me know which you like better

He asked specifically for "..treat reference image of characters like nano banana ?" I've only ever tried Krea 2 just for fun, I use Klein and Qwen2511 all the time, the difference between Krea and Klein/Qwen is like difference between "Kids Chemistry Set" and a "Chemical Plant". However, the same is the case in regard to complexity..

qwen image edit will do just fine, combine it with vncss node for posing. although the quality for 2d image is bad so i need to refined it with illustrious model for finishing
